Why Savvy
exists.
You shouldn’t have to choose between somebody who can really DJ and somebody who can professionally run an event.

Career DJs
only.
Savvy Sounds is a collective of career DJs, built for people who care about the music as much as the event itself.
We came up through DJ culture: clubs, turntables, records, production, and years of learning how people respond to music. We bring that craft to weddings, private events and brands, where preparation and details matter just as much.
The goal isn’t to make Savvy the star of the event. The goal is to make the room work.

The Savvy Standard
- Music
- Deep musical knowledge, and digging for the right record rather than the obvious one.
- Technique
- Real DJ ability. Transitions that mean something.
- Room reading
- The ability to abandon the plan when the room asks for it.
- Preparation
- Event-specific prep: the timeline, the versions, the names.
- Communication
- Clear, professional contact with clients and planners.
- Presentation
- A setup and an appearance that fit the room.
- MC ability
- Clear on the microphone without becoming the show.
- Reliability
- Early, prepared, professional.
- Culture
- Respect for the history and the craft of DJing.
Where it
started.
Miles came up through DJ culture before private events. Records, club sets in Buffalo, open-format rooms, production, and years of learning how people respond to music came first.
When he moved deeper into weddings, corporate events and private celebrations, he noticed a gap. The strongest technical DJs were not always equipped to run a high-level event. The strongest event operators were not always serious DJs.
Savvy Sounds was created to close that gap. Since then: the Delta One Lounge residency at LAX, Mixmag Lab LA with Laidback Luke, Hard Summer, and rooms for Sony Pictures, Disney and Delta.
